A not-so-holy story of hope, coming together and finding your feet when your world is turned upside down.

Winnie’s no ordinary nun. A swearing, smoking, Guinness fan, who loves a sing-song with Stephen. She lives life to the fullest. But she’s got a secret. Stephen’s lost his job – and lost his way. Finding solace in music, he knows he must start again… but how? Ballsy and outspoken, teenager Kayleigh is in charge of her life. No one tells her what to do. However, a mind-blowing discovery leads her to Winnie and Stephen and together they start a journey that will transform their lives forever.

Surprising, poignant and heart-warmingly funny, Folk is a new play by award-winning Hull playwright Tom Wells (Critics Circle Most Promising Playwright 2011), whose previous work includes The Kitchen Sink (winner of the George Devine Award 2012) and the smash-hit Jumpers For Goalposts.

Age recommendation 14+ due to strong language.
