LADIES DOWN UNDER TAKE HULL TRUCK BY STORM!
They’re back! The popular fish filleting foursome who hit the jackpot in the smash hit Ladies’ Day return to the Hull Truck stage with Amanda Whittington’s sequel Ladies Down Under directed by Gareth Tudor Price.
They’ve ditched their hairnets and factory overalls and are off on the trip of a lifetime to see the sights of Oz. Join Pearl, Jan, Linda and Shelley as they don their flight socks, dose up on Kylie and prepare for an adventure under Australian skies.
Hull Truck welcomes back talented cast Annie Sawle, Jemma Walker, Lucy Beaumont, Sue McCormick, and Martin Barrass and introduces Australian actor Damien Warren-Smith who makes his Hull Truck debut. Find out what happens when the four Pommie beauties touch down in Oz for a trip they’ll never forget. While Shelley dreams of luxury and glamour, the gang decide to get back to basics and camp out under the stars. But Shelley soon discovers there’s more on offer than posh hotels and sun-kissed surfers; and Pearl finds she has a mountain to climb…
Amanda Whittington’s hilarious new comedy follows the sensational Ladies’ Day, which premiered at Hull Truck in June 2005 and enjoyed phenomenal success during its large scale autumn 2006 tour. It ended on a high note at Hull Truck last November with yet another sell out run. Hull Truck has high hopes that the girls’ adventures Down Under will once again see ticket sales go sky high and patrons are advised to book early to ensure a seat.
