Dramatic end to season for City manager - watching Studs at Hull
Truck Theatre!
Hull
City manager Phil Brown will prepare for one of the biggest weekends
in the club’s history with a night out to see football-based
comedy Studs at Hull Truck Theatre. Brown’s side can win promotion
to the Premier League for the first time in their history on Sunday
if results go their way – but there is sure to be plenty of drama
in store. Brown has decided the perfect way to relax ahead of the promotion
showdown is to enjoy a night of on-stage drama at another of the city’s
success stories, Hull Truck Theatre.
Hull Truck’s Associate Director Nick Lane, the director of Studs, said: “I’m completely blown away - not to say humbled - that on the verge of what is possibly the biggest game in the history of Hull City Football Club, Phil Brown would choose to come and see Studs as a way of unwinding. I feel sure he’ll have a good night; and hopefully, with a bit of help from Leicester City, he’ll have an even better one on Sunday! Come on Hull City – you deserve it!”
Brown met the cast of Studs a few weeks ago when they visited Hull City’s training ground for a promotional photo shoot and the cast were able to tell him about the play. Studs, written by Gordon Steel, follows the ups and downs of Sunday League side Eston Bank Hotel – with plenty of antics both on and off the pitch! Hull audiences, who are buzzing with football fever, have flocked to see Studs and with the play closing on Saturday night, remaining tickets will be selling fast.
Studs ends this Saturday 3rd May: To book one of the last remaining tickets for Friday or Saturday night, call Box Office on 01482 323638 or click here to book online
