SULLY RETURNS TO HULL TRUCK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
Thurs 10th – Sat 26th May 2007

Hull Truck Theatre is proud to present the return of Sully by Hull playwright Dave Windass. Following its enormous sell-out success last year, Hull Truck’s Joint Artistic Director Gareth Tudor Price is bringing back the poignant tale of Rugby League hero Clive Sullivan for a second outing.

Sully, which is co-directed by Martin Barrass, celebrates Clive Sullivan’s life, from his childhood in Wales to flying up the wing for Hull FC and Rovers. Clive united fans across Hull and stood tall in the Rugby League world as the last British captain to lift the Rugby League World Cup. But there was one battle he couldn’t win, the fight against cancer.

The play charts Clive’s life, his most glorious and challenging times and his role, not only as a Rugby League legend, but as a loving family man, who was a hero to many people.

Actor Fidel Nanton returns to reprise his role as Clive Sullivan in what promises to be another moving performance. Tickets are already selling rapidly for this breath-taking production which is not to be missed.
