Hull Truck Youth Theatre presents
Stags & Hens: The Remix

2 - 5 April 2008

Audience feedback:

"I thoroughly the performance. The cast where very professional and the timing was spot on!
The meeting of old flames, Linda and Peter, was very convincing, and Billy and Robbies duo was very funny!

Congratulations to all the cast, crew and director and thanks for a thoroughly entertaining night. 'Daddy Cool' - what can I say - excellent finale!! Marc

"Good show all round, but Eddie (Andrew Wilson) deserves a special mention. Andrew played the part with a level of maturity that can only be expressed by and experienced actor. I would hazard a guess and suggest he out of all of the cast has had the most 'stage time'. His electric presence created a tense atmospheric comic relief that reminded us all that the 70's weren't all fun and games.

Well done Andrew. There a is a great well of potential within the youth theatre, I look forward to the next production."

" A fantastic start, brilliant show and unbelievable ending. I would be first in the queue if this comes back; congratulations to all concerned."
Jonathon Adams

"A wonderful and true to life performance. Your cast were first class and agreeing with some previous reviews, both Robert and Laura Aramayo are such talented actors; along with the seriousness of Andy Wilson you captured a good old night out out for me.

You should put this straight back on when your company moves. Thank you for a great night out."
Mark Blower

"We had a fantastic time, made the 5 hour journey worth while!!
The cast were brilliant, Robbie and Bernie excelled themselves. Very proud to know them and hope they progress to the bigger stage. They all carried off their parts very well. Stage setting perfect typical hull night club toilets!!

Only the 2nd time we have been to Hull Truck but will try and get up more often. Well done to all. Go Laura & Bob !!!!!"
Stu and Kelly

" I was overwhelmed with the standard of the cast, set and quality of the actors, whoever directed this needs an almighty pat on the back for bringing your youth theatre to the level of such professionalism, I can't wait for your next one."
Cutler

"After seeing the show I took more notice of the cast, as per the programme. Robbie (Robert Aramayo) made me laugh so much and did an amazing job with his quick wit and humour. The best joke of the night was delivered perfectly by Frances (Rachel Everard); I'm also a sagittarius !!!!!!!!

How did Bernadette (Laura Aramayo) get to be so convincing; she stood out and is such a talented actress. Congratulations to all involved; your Director (Lee Green) captured the 70's down to a tee. A fantastic night out."
Riley

"Brilliant!!!!!!! Just let me know when it's coming back; I need to watch this young talented cast again - Stags and Hens in the New Building!"
Yates

"As designers ourselves we thought the set design was fantastic. With little space to work with the set was open but gave the impression of a seedy club to a tee.
We have to say we wasn't expecting much but the young cast delivered a knockout performance. Well done to you all. We'll definitely be back."
Martyn and Lisa

"I've seen many theatre productions but this was incredible. I lived through the 70's and these characters were as real as they come. I even knew a Billy Blake (no names of course). Thanks for the flash back, Brilliant!"
Richard Sutton

"I thought that Stags & Hens was the best I have seen at Hull Truck because it was funny and kept me entertained. Well done to all the cast and crew for putting on an excellent show.

I think that Adam who played Billy was excellent he put a lot of effort into his character that he played. Also well done to Kurt who even after fainting still managed to carry on. You are all a credit to Hull Truck." Craig

" Brilliant! Slick and professional.A talented cast who gave the audience a memorable experience. Congratulations and many thanks."
Sue Jenkinson

"Outstanding entertainment and an amazing group of young actors, this was as good as any main stream theatre I have seen... Give these teenagers a crack at the professional plays they are such a talent !!!!!!!!!!!" Morris

"The greatest compliment I can offer is that none of the roles looked anything but adult. Very mature in their approach and their craft is shining already."
Kostakis

"We enjoyed this very much so funny and well written, congratulations to all, a special mention to the actors who played Robbie,Bernie and Maureen. We will definitely be looking out for the next youth production." Waterson

"Simply fantastic. The Aramayo sister and brother stole the show."

James Robinson

"I travelled for 2 hours to see this and what a time I had; for a Youth Theatre this was outstanding comedy and so well performed. I did not want it to end then just when you thought it was all over we were treated to one of the best endings I have seen for years.

The three parts that stood out for me were Bernie, Robbie and Maureen; these actors are exceptional talents. Thank you all for such an enjoyable evening out."
Steve Gill

"Wow what a brilliant night!
The Hull Truck Youth Theatre are a wonderfully professional group. This evening's performance could not have been done any better by any professional company.

The timing, facial expressions, body language was spot on, and the final exits ... amazing. This group have gone from strength to strength. I really don't know how they'll top this.

Congratulations to all the cast, company and Hull Truck for having the initiative to support young people to express and develop their talents. Looking forward to the next time.
