TWO
Comments from the Spring 2008
Tour so far....
"Stunning display of changing characters
and emotions in the time it takes to put on a coat. One of the best best
multi role Theatre productions we have experienced."
Clive
and Jane Gray, in the audience here at Hull Truck.
"Congratulations has to be passed on to the two actors Rob Hudson and Julie
Higginson who worked extremely hard. I was mesmerised
by the emotion and brilliance of acting out the various characters and as
I sat in the audience, with drink in my hand, I actually
felt that I was part of the scene. Two is a well written play
with a rollercoaster of emotions and superb acting."
Rachel Knight
of ARCO Ltd
"I enjoyed it enormously and the acting was
superb..The characters were so real it brought back many memories. A
great night out."
Yvonne Farrow, in the audience at Stantonbury Theatre
"Brilliant
piece of writing. Excellent portrayal of characters, touching every nerve
it was meant to. Keep up the good work."
Audience member at Hartlepool Town Hall
" What
a brilliant evening out! We saw the play last night in Maidenhead and thought
it absolutely amazing. The effort the cast put into the production was
fantastic, and was thoroughly enjoyed by our party." Eve Battye
"Thank you so much for giving me such a great evening last
night! The two fantastic actors put so much work in to the play but made
it seem
effortless.
I came
home inspired after watching such talent! I can't wait to see your next
play." Carolyn
Hall
Leonard and Pauline Rouse, who saw the play at the Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond were "absolutely amazed by the fantastic acting by the two actors who portrayed the characters. They were truly talented and never have we come away from the theatre completely gobsmacked!"
"I would like to congratulate the two actors
who starred in your production of Two in Abertillery on Saturday 6th
April.
This is the first time I have seen a professional play and found it very
enjoyable. A couple of people were actually crying in the audience at
the last scene; that shows how realistic the scenes were.
Thanks for
a really enjoyable evening and I hope to see some more productions from
your theatre coming back to Abertillery."
Sharon, in the audience at Abertillery.
" an extremely well acted, thought provoking and
emotional play..the emotional outpouring by the actors was amazing!"
Joanne
and Adrian Howells, audience members at Crewe
"I came to see Two at the Lyceum theatre in Crewe on 29th Feb and thought
it was AMAZING! I would like to compliment Robert and Julie on their fantastic
performance. Two was the first Hull Truck Theatre production I have seen
and wish to see many more."
Sean, aged 15
"absolutely bloody brilliant! Didn't want the evening to end.
We just hope we can make it to one (or all!) of the other venues on this
tour. Thank you
for yet another fantastic evening in the company of the Hull Truck gang!"
Jan and Barry Baxter
"Our party thoroughly enjoyed the performance. Well done to all involved."
Ian
and Jacqui Stewart, of The Red Lion Inn, Chipping Norton
"I first saw Two performed about 20
years ago at the Young Vic with Sue Johnston and John McArdle and loved
it
so much I saw it twice in a week. I was a bit
worried that I may have over-sold it to my friend Mel who I persuaded to
come to see it with me at The Roses Theatre.
I need not have worried; the actors performed their socks off and wrung
every conceiveable emotion out
of the audience. How they managed
to come back on stage after that harrowing final act to receive their justly
deserved applause I do not know.
All
I do know is that it was a struggle for us to applaud; not because they
didn't
deserve it, but because we were so emotionally exhausted from their
fabulous performances."
Allison Samuel, in the audience
at Tewksebury
