Hull Truck Apprentice Blog #1

Though this blog will be used mostly by us, sometimes we might have appearances from Harry and James, the other new apprentices based in the Technical area.

Draya is the Live Events and Box Office apprentice. She has a background in Interactive Media and Customer Service, and became interested in this apprenticeship position for the opportunity to work Front of House and to get involved in some Marketing also.

Sam is the Marketing and Communications apprentice. She has previously studied Fine Art and English Language/Literature. Sam applied for this apprenticeship position as she missed working in the creative sector, and has always been interested in working in Marketing.

We have all been working in the theatre for almost a month, and now that our Christmas show Sleeping Beauty is over, we’re looking forward to promoting our next co-production, Martha, Josie and the Chinese Elvis, as well as everything else we’re showcasing here in 2016. As we are both working in different sectors, hopefully we’ll be able to give you a varied perspective of what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ at Hull Truck Theatre.
