Set in Hull during lockdown, local writers Maureen Lennon and Lydia Marchant team up with Hull Truck Theatre's Associate Director of Creative Learning, Tom Saunders to generate ideas, write scripts and guide direction, culminating in the production of a 25-minute weekly episode which will air on Hull Truck Theatre’s YouTube channel every Friday at 5pm. Everal is an actor who has worked across Theatre, Television, Film, Radio and is a member of the Board of Hull Truck Theatre.

Dominique is an award winning actress, she has worked across Theatre, Television and Film.

Laura Meredith
Originally from Hull, Laura graduated Arts Educational Schools London in 2019.
Theatre credits include; Our Mutual Friend by Tom Bellerby (Hull Truck Theatre).

GET TO KNOW THE WRITERS:
Maureen Lennon is a Hull based writer & director. She has written work for Paines Plough, Sheffield Theatres, Pilot Theatre, and Hull Truck Theatre. She is a graduate from the English and Theatre Studies BA from The University of Bristol and the Writing for Performance and Publication MA from The University of Leeds. She is an Associate Artist of Middle Child Theatre, a Sphinx 30 playwright 2020, a Leeds Playhouse FUSE writer 2019 and a co-founder of new-writing & storytelling company Bellow Theatre. In 2020 her play Helen was shortlisted for the Theatre 503 International Playwriting prize.
Her latest play, Us Against Whatever, was produced in 2019 by Middle Child Theatre in assoc. with Hull Truck Theatre and Liverpool Everyman & Playhouse with support from The British Council and The National Theatre Studio. It is published by Oberon. Her 2017 play Bare Skin On Briny Waters, was a co-write with Tabitha Mortiboy and was co-produced by Hull City of Culture 2017 and Bellow Theatre for the Hull Takeover at Edfringe, it received two commendations for excellence from NSDF and toured nationally in 2018.
Lydia Marchant’s first full length play, Mumsy is currently under commission at Hull Truck Theatre, where she is an Affiliate Artist. She is developing her second, Stuck, with Live Theatre through their Bursary Scheme. She’s also worked with Paines Plough, York Theatre Royal, Derby Theatre, Middle Child Theatre, Silent Uproar and The Roaring Girls.
She is also part of the BBC’s Writers Academy led by John Yorke, for which she is writing broadcast episodes of Eastenders, Casualty and Holby City. She also has original work in development with Cuba Pictures and BBC Studios.
Lydia has a Distinction in MA Writing for Stage and Broadcast Media from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and is a graduate of the Writing Squad. She has previously taken part in writers programmes at Leeds Playhouse, Soho Theatre, National Theatre, Royal Court and BFI.
