The production visited communities in Bransholme, Hessle Road and North Hull. The theme for this particular Great Adventure was a special birthday, helping to celebrate the theatre’s 50th anniversary year. Great Adventures gives young people between the ages of 3 and 6 the opportunity to experience their first live theatre. The event includes an arts and craft session where children create something that will be used in the performance, for this show that was a party hat and balloons. After the craft session, the children experienced a fun, interactive performance with lots of opportunities to join in (and adults too). In this performance, they learnt songs and dances and helped a pirate find his treasure! The tour was funded by the Garfield Weston Foundation and will be visiting Hessle Road Network and Bransholme, Western and Greenwood libraries.
