Hull Truck Theatre raises £9,660 for Give the Gift of Theatre in 2024!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, we are thrilled to announce that our Give the Gift of Theatre campaign has raised an outstanding £9,660.35 across the 2024 festive season! The campaign, aimed at bringing the magic of theatre to those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience it, received an outpouring of support from both local audiences and theatre lovers alike. Every donation, no matter the size, plays a vital role in ensuring that more people in Hull can experience the joy, inspiration, and connection that live performance brings. As a result of your generosity, 1,000+ tickets were gifted by this campaign to local people living in financial hardship to see The Borrowers and Rapunzel this Christmas. In addition, 80 care homes were able to receive a streaming link of The Borrowers, with Queensgate Care Home (HU3) receiving an extra special personal visit as the theatre came to them, complete with their own tickets and an ice cream at the interval! Your overwhelming kindness means we can continue to share the joy of a live theatre experience throughout the year. A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who contributed to the campaign. Your support allows us to make a real difference to people in Hull, opening the doors of Hull Truck Theatre to even more people in our community.
