Spreading kindness at Christmas time

We’ve commissioned a local artist to create designs for Christmas postcards and delivered them, along with bookmarks, to community organisations. Groups and residents will bring them to life with their own designs and colours before being encouraged to participate in a bookmark gift exchange, making a bookmark for another participant and receiving one in return. Local schools and community groups who have visited the theatre as part of our Give The Gift of Christmas campaign will also be helping to spread the kindness, by decorating and completing the Christmas postcards, which we will then distributing to care homes across Hull. Both of these activities give participants the opportunity to bring a sense of connection to other members of the Hull community. Hull Truck Theatre will also act as a drop off point for Fareshare, meaning visitors to the theatre can donate food items that can be distributed to those that most need it. If you would like to help us send our love to the communities in Hull, you can also colour in our postcards and post them in the mail box at our Box Office.
