Rehearsed Reading with Pilot Theatre

Telling the tale of the iconic British writer, philosopher, and feminist Mary Wollstonecraft and set against a backdrop of societal upheaval. With music by singer-songwriter Billy Nomates, and written by Hull playwright Maureen Lennon, this story delves deep into Wollstonecraft's life, from her early struggles growing up in Beverley, to her impassioned fight for equality.

Hear some of the anthems the ensemble cast will belt out in the show, and savour the words of defiance and empowerment, as a whirlwind journey through history unfolds, sweeping us up in the birth of feminism as told through the eyes of a punk-rock pioneer.

Join us as we blaze into the future. As we share an inspiring insight into our show for anyone who’s had to fight for their space in the world, and for anyone who wants to change things for generations to come.
